Barkjour 2017

Our third pet photography retreat took place in August/September 2017. We stayed in a beautiful 12th century château hill-top retreat (once owned by the King of France!) in Saint Maximin, near the historic medieval town of Uzés in the Provence region of France.

During our stay we photographed a range of beautiful dogs at various locations nearby, including a 2000 year old Roman aqueduct, a stunning vineyard and in and around our gorgeous château. On our day off we visited vineyards, rode horses at the Camargue and gorged ourselves on the local gourmet bread, goats cheese and fresh produce. We even had a renowned Masterchef (Theo) as our personal chef throughout the workshop!

I enrolled in Barjour to devise a better business plan and that is exactly what I got. The breakout sessions were excellent in content and detail. The instructors were extremely knowledgeable and informative, each with a different you guys are just awesome people and so great to be around. Thank you so so SO much for the most amazing week! I loved every second of it.

I loved getting to meet and learn from three of the top pet photographers in the world and Sam, who taught me to much about Lightroom that I didn't all weaved together an amazing experience and learning platform. The one thing I really noticed once I got home was my confidence. I felt more comfortable and less anxious during sessions once I got back. Like, I got this! I learned how to improve my back button focus, how to finally get awesome bokeh, and improve my editing. I am so excited for the next one!
